The Matcharashvilis in historical documents

The Matcharashvili family appears in Georgian documents from the 16th century:

• 1588 — Borjala Matcharashvili, village of Baraun (Hd-2526).
• Late 17th century — Zaal Tsereteli grants Lazare Matcharashvili the former Naskhashvili estate (Sd-1171).
• 1722 — Datua Matcharashvili receives an estate in payment of a debt (Sd-1198).
• 1804 — 34 Matcharashvili households are listed in the village of Korbouli (Sd-2322).
• 1903 — Nikoloz Matcharashvili, village head of Vaka.
